A complete reorganization of one of LAUSD’s most iconic campuses, this project reimagines Venice High School as a unified, future-forward environment rooted in its historic identity. Handbuilt created a bold graphic identity for the renewed spaces, prioritizing school pride, inclusivity, and connection. 

Drawing inspiration from this edge of our world where sky and sea permanently flicker and change, we used a collection of blues rhythmically but never repetitively. Large-scale custom typography creates dramatic gateways and visual anchors at the main entrance, while environmental wayfinding, signage, and landscaping weave together academic and athletic zones.
